Definitions
xanthifolia is derived from Greek xantho- (deep yellow) and Latin -folia (leaved) components. [See Iva xanthifolia.]

xanthochymus is derived from Greek xantho- (deep yellow) and chymo- (juice) components. [See Garcinia xanthochymus.]

xanthorrhiza is made up of Greek xantho- (deep yellow) and -rrhiza (root) components meaning 'deep yellow rooted'. [See Arracacia xanthorrhiza.]

Xerochrysum [genus name] is derived from Greek xero- (dry) and chryso- (gold) components with reference to the dry golden flowers. [See Xerochrysum.]
